The 3 day on-site estate sale earlier this month was a major happening in the collectables trade, and was strongly attended by hundreds of dealers and collectors over the course of 3 days. I have checked all of them against the listings in my copy of Farrah's Guide, and I believe one may even be a VERY rare first printing. These came from the estate of a married couple in Barrington RI, who were major collectors of nostalgia and memorabilia, including children's books, comic books and strips, Hollywood movies, and toys and merchandise related to all of these. These are from the original printings of the early 1930s, and they all have the BLANK WHITE endpapers, so called "Format 1", the earliest publications in this series. We are listing tonight a varied group of items, all original and vintage, including some very early editions of the famous Nancy Drew mystery stories for young people.
